Summary

Rue & Fen has no accounts and never asks who you are. To connect two devices and carry a tap from one to the other, we process only a little technical data — a notification token, a random pair ID, your chosen character, and the timestamps of taps. A tap has no content of any kind, and when you unpair, everything is deleted.

What we process, and why

There are no user accounts. We never ask for your name, email, phone number, contacts, location, or any profile, and you are never identified as a person. To make the core feature work, the service processes only:

What we do not do

Where your data lives, and who processes it

The data above is stored on our own backend server, and used only to relay touches between the two paired devices. All traffic between your device and the server is sent over HTTPS.

We rely on two sub-processors, and no one else:

How long we keep it, and how to delete it

When either partner unpairs — or the pair otherwise ends — all associated data is deleted from the device and from our server. The pair, the tokens, and the touch history are removed. Nothing is kept.

Purchases

Optional paid scene packs are one-time in-app purchases handled entirely by Apple. We never see or store your payment details, and purchase entitlements are managed by Apple and StoreKit, not by us.

Children

The app is not directed to children under 13 (under 16 in the EEA), and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Your rights

You can end the pairing at any time in the app to erase your data. You can also email us to request deletion or to ask any question: [email protected].

Changes

If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page and update the “Last updated” date above.
